MedCentral Health System, the foundation of the largest medical community in
North Central Ohio, provides a comprehensive array of health care services –

An independent, non-profit health system, MedCentral includes
two hospitals – Mansfield and Shelby – with a combined total of
351 registered beds. The largest, Mansfield Hospital, with 326
beds, offers a Trauma Center, as well as a Level II Perinatal
Department. It is the site of cutting-edge interventional
radiology and neuroradiology procedures as well as
advanced cardiology and cardiac surgery services.
MedCentral continues to grow, adding new services at
each hospital, as well as at outpatient locations,
including the MedCentral Wellness Complex. This
network of facilities, an impressive medical staff and
skilled health care employees enable MedCentral to
be the health care leader in the region.
MedCentral’s medical staff numbers over 200, representing
a complete range of primary and specialty care. The
health system employs over 2,650 people, making it one
of the largest employers in North Central Ohio.
MedCentral serves a population of nearly 400,000 people
in Richland and its five surrounding counties. Centrally
located in the region, MedCentral is an attractive choice for specialty care for
those patients uncomfortable with the complexity involved in seeking treatment
